Apple Inc. launched a 16-gigabyte iPhone and a 32-gigabyte iPod Touch Tuesday, doubling the maximum memory previously available in each device. The technology giant's newest devices will sell for $499 each, $100 more than the prior highest-capacity models for each line.
What's surprising is that Apple did not announce the memory upgrade earlier, which means many consumers are stuck with their "older" iPhones. Apple does have a hold on their customers though. Every few months they will relaunch the same product in a new color or some slight enhancements for an increased price. The customers grumble, and then reach for their wallets.
Please tell me you won’t buy it? Not without 3G, GPS and unlocking capabilities? Not until they drop the price? Not until Google launches their phone?
Here is my previous take on the iPhone.
